I do not know any things and I did not dig a little to
find info about Skinned but I get some info from their biography .
USA’s Skinned are back with their brand new
full-length, “Shadow Syndicate“, again produced by Dave Otero (Cattle
Decapitation,
Cephalic Carnage…)
resulting in what’s definitely an ambitious and outstanding landmark release of
the band’s discography.
Aside from the great musicianship and production, the
mastery achieved here is the ability that Skinned have to channel all of
their inspiration, musically and lyrically,
to create an
atmosphere of doom and darkness throughout the album to create a fiery and
fierce release that’s diverse yet coherent, dense yet atmospheric
while brutal and
melodic at the same time (things who not fit together and takes or drive the
band to modern metal orientation followed with core touch) .
Varied in shapes and moods, “Shadow Syndicate”
(featuring among others guest vocals by Josh Welshman (Defeated Sanity…)
and guest lyrics by Paul
McGUIRE (Cerebral Bore…),
is the kind of work of art that’s much more than a collection of tracks: it’s a
world in itself where each song explores a different aspect of dark
beliefs (conspiracy theories, unsolved mysteries…), the whole creating a
society of extreme darkness under the domination of the New World Order where the citizens
become cattle for the governments and guinea pigs for alien entities, etc.
ultimately leading our specie to its demise, the face under the merciless boot
of the… “Shadow Syndicate“!.........in brief Skinned have since their inception
in 1995, always combined styles to create their very own kind of Extreme Metal
by twisting and re-shaping sub-genres, the result being a unique mix of Death
Metal, dark Doom soundscapes, hyper blasts, Black Metal dramatic grotesquery
and heavy , good job and clear sound and you can says the quality recording is
the cutting edge of technology ,but so much styles can’t be coherent but it can
be often funny………… in any
case I can say its good production, good dark and
intense Death Metal album coupled with a signature on a European label, here is
the right combination for Skinned that will allow it to shine in Europe. ''
Shadow Syndicate '' has many assets to seduce some fans of extreme music thanks
to a good dose of violence associated with cold and complex atmospheres but
sometimes you could like or not like a lot of modern touches reminiscent of
crappy styles who invades and disturbs the death metal in any case if you like
this album you can add it to your collection .Myspace
