Corrosive Elements display their latest masterwork Cut
the Serpents Head via GreyveStorm
Productions
First preview and notable track which does not go unnoticed,to pay
attention Ignorance Is No Longer Bliss.
Musically it’s a fresh thrash with a great dose of death metal maybe
sometimes touch of groovy are present with some multi vocals added at the right
time, the compositions are quite classic but the desire to headbanger comesright
away, the guitars are fatty and heavy but all the times guitar riffs becomes speed, aggressive
and dynamic with the multi vocals on the trackSo Long Sucker without
forgetting I detected a crossover thrash side ,the riffs release formidable
power and energy and when added to this a well-paced double pedal, filthy and
infamous vocals
And the two guitar solos are short simple but perfect maybe we don’t
need more An American Hero it’s
begin with relaxing groovy followed by a big part of brutality bast beat fast
and intense riffrage directly Sepultura drumming
back to my head it’s very not bad no no….pretty awesome , and it's not over !!
the drummer shown fest of sick drumming with perfect tempo no sudden changes
like the fucking modern substandard modern styles ,everything is finetill now
but after the track
Cut the Serpent's Head maybe some things are fucking bored likeThe Right to Remain Poor or Among
the Casualties may be due to the mixture of several styles or the thrash n’roll
and the bored death n’roll of the latest Entombed
style, never mind, it doesn't matter because you can like or dislike in any
case Cut the Serpents Head is very
acceptable comeback after nine years since Toxic Waste Blues .
in any case I think you can add Cut
the Serpents Head to your collection.
Gorebringer is an oldschool melodic death metal band formed in London UK. The bandwas formed in 2017 by the current members;Kaz “Stench”B (guitars/bass) and Serpent(Vocals).
1-First of all, thank you for taking part in this interview and
congratulation for your new album Condemned
to Suffer, I just wanted to ask a bit about the origins of the band., since
2017. How was the songwriting process divided across the course of all these
years, was it spread out or product of a very short time frame when time allowed
it?
Hello, thank you very
much for the interview. We are excited that our new album will be released on
October 18th. Composing is actually developing quickly. I can say that the
first album composing and recording process was very short. The compositions
for the second album were started right after the first album was released and
were completed in about 1.5 years. The third album took longer, this album is
longer and more technical, and at the same time dark and moody, so it didn't
take long to write :)
2- What do you think of the worldwide metal and extreme scene
today?
I think there are great
new bands coming out every day and they are all very good. I think metal music
is on the rise, solid albums are coming out every week, and the old bands are
continuing and putting out great albums.
3-what can you tell us about the official video Ant, is it a preview promoting of your recent album Terrified Beyond Measure?
no, Ants is from my 3rd
album "Condemned to Suffer".
4-Whats your mainly inspiration to compose and How do you write your
music? Is there a set guideline or do you write what you feel as you go along?
In the composition
process, what actually affects us are the conditions we are in. If we give an
example from the last album, it was an accumulation of what we have experienced
in the last 5 years. We reflected everything we felt, such as hatred, sadness,
anger, etc., into our music. We make melodic death metal, but in the last
album, we were going through such shitty times that we added black metal
elements to our music in order to make darker compositions.
5-How is the metal scene and community in London and in the UK?
It's absolutely amazing.
Even though we haven't been able to attend many shows lately, we know they are
great bands.
6-what can you tell us about your previous album a Craving ForFlesh and Terrified
Beyond Measure?
Craving For Flesh is our
first album, the general concept is more of a horror comedy type slasher event
:) less technical but melodic and old school death metal, there are grindcore
parts here and there. Terrified Beyond Measure is a more melodic album, we
composed and recorded under difficult conditions during the pandemic.
7-Recently you released a single Ants
in 2024 from your new album Condemned to
Suffer via Great Dane Records socan you tell us about the inspiration
behind the album concept and influences?
Condemned to Suffer is
the darkest album we've made. There are personal songs and songs that tell
horror stories. Ants is one of them. We didn't use any concepts in the album in
general.
Comdemned to Suffer was
recorded in Croydon UK and mixed by London-based Tide Music Studios. This is
our 3rd album, the most personal so far, as no guest musicians participated
during recording and lyrics are more mature and complex, mostly reflecting
different struggles that we’ve overcomed in the past 5 years as a band. In the
melodic death metal genre, we like to add black metal elements to the mix as
well to make the music sound a bit darker and intense. We’ve been influenced
mostly by death metal pioneers from 90’s but there are also modern elements in
our music
8- Are you satisfy with your label and witch label fit to your music?
At the moment we are
delighted to be working with Great Dane Records.
9-What can you tell us about your line up, and will you introduce other
members?
We formed the band as
Kaz “Stench”B(guitars/bass) and Serpent(Vocals)
we are currently 2
people, we worked with other musicians on our first 2 albums. (Krzysztof
Klingbein etc.) But there are no guest musicians on the last album. We are now
2 people and it is going very well like this.
10-your style is melodic
death but you have influences and themes that belong to brutal death because
melodic is a little softer and heavier compared to what you play and the design
of your album covers it’s contained some gore, slaughter and maggots how do you
explain that?
We were originally
founded as a grindcore band and recorded 2 songs. Later on, we started to make
more melodic compositions, but fast and hard compositions emerged. Guitar solos
are present in our songs, but we also add brutal metal to the songs.Since we
love brutal death metal, we were naturally influenced by this. I guess we can
call this genre melodic death metal on steroids :)
11-Any fav bands to get on stage with? Are there any upcoming tour,
videos, or other projects? What are the
immediate plans for the band after having released Condemned to Suffer?
We would definitely like
to play with At the Gates and Carcass.
After our 3rd album
comes out, we will be promoting it. We plan to play shows if we complete our
lineup to play live. We have plans for another music video, but not yet.
12-What is the biggest
change compared to the debut?
First of all, I can say
that our songs have become more technical and dark. There is a lot of black
metal influence in our songs right now. We have evolved into a more pessimistic
and melodic style and the lyrics do not contain as much gore as before.
13-To conclude, if you have any closing thoughts you want to say about
the record the next of Gorebringer,
band or melodic death metal at large
Thank you very much for
the interview. Our new album will be released on October 18th, we worked very
hard for this album, the most personal so far, I hope you like it. Hails to all!!
If you like the true the pure and the old death metal
you will be well served by The Tomb,
this ItalianDeath Metal duo (Alessio
Bucci - guitar et Alessandro Nunziati - vocal) recently formed back in 2022
The Valley Of Despair is their first full length album via Great Dane
Records
Recompensing tribute to the Old School Death Metal way
with a mix of Obituary/Death meets a ton of Death, this duo
crank out tasteful and flavour Thrash tinged Death Metal that shows no mercy,
but quite a bit of excellent chops in riffs ,you can find all this in the first title The Gate Of Suffering , The
Tomb reminds me a lot to Gruesome Heavily
influenced by Death's early works,
notably Scream Bloody Gore, Leprosy and maybe Spiritual Healing .In Brief, old
school, perfectly played, with a certain added value, The Valley of Despair is a record for all oldies, for fans who love
traditional and classic methods, besides you must
have talent to play this music , many other bands out there adding more depth
and power to their music through simple variation of tracks, but The Tomb kept the essentials without
modern additions , modern are just better production and promoting recording
technology…………………………. The Valley of
Despair will certainly please fans of bands the likes of Massacre, Obituary, Cancer, Death and Pestilence, among others, exhaling classic Death Metal
To pay attention forHorror Painted in Your Eyes,
Entranced by the Smell of Death and The House of Thousand Screams.
Bored part of the album: The Rise of the Ancestral Forces.
surely
you will add this album to your collection.
Houle presents his
first album Ciel Cendre Et Misère Noire
via Les Acteurs De L’Ombre., From
the introduction a sea shanty ( in French ) sprinkled with oceanic sounds
immediately immerses the listener in the universe of the coastal black metal
group but surrounding this point their style is very far to call it black metal
I would say extreme melodic metal see the title Mère Nocturne because some melodies are pretty but not too much and
it reminds me of modern metal a little. La
Danse Du Rocher follows with a catchy and dynamic riff and a shrill cry
from singer Adsagona (appear
imperiously aggressive and really attractive voice which does not go
unnoticed). Throughout the listen, variations in tempo and with slow and sung
bridges almost told in a clear voice energize a whole, otherwise, sometimes a
little useless and boring when the tempo drops suddenly, while soaring
instrumentals come to conclude the songs, like the calm after the storm by
establishing an almost venomous climate, particularly expressive and intense.
The titles follow one
another fluidly, supported by lyrics on the theme of the album or rather the
theme of a difficult and dark life at sea, both for sailors and for those who
await them on land. The interlude And Puis Le Silence, with ambient underwater sounds
on Sel, Sang Et Gerçures and
contrasts with the high-pitched, wild, old-fashioned scream. The journey ends
with the Née Des Embruns technique:
rhythms follow one another, blast beats supported by melodic guitars. Crises
and laments are heard, without doubt about Houle's promising future, songs to pay attentionLa Danse Du Rocher,Derrière l'Horizon , Sel, Sang Et Gerçures ……now you can add this album to your collection.
This is the perfect debut demo of true Death Fucking Metal of Unholy Redeemer, based in Australia/Denmark.
Cassette version to be released by Extremely
Rotten Productions (Den) and CD version hosted by Australian label Sphere Of Apparition Records with 3
tracks of dark ans blasphemic death metal who remember with their sound and
concept inspiration to a great names like Morbid Angel (old Morbid Angel
of course) Incantation,and maybe Acheron
A Fever to Dethrone All Kings begins withfirst
tracks A Fever to Dethrone All Kings itsmassive heavy evil riffs from hell
for Hell's Headbangers followed by a deep horrific growling vocal from
cave ,we also find a small presence maybe just a
touch of Swedish death metal riffs like Dismember
and the drumming is absolutely sublime with endless blast beats except when
tempo changes in any case tempo
changes at the right time.
Second track Revere the Slaughter and it’s more
technical with more tempo changes adding little bit brutality and maybe some little
groovy moment ,and the third track Halo
of Flies very pretty awesome killer sound
and this is the song to pay attention because it’s true demonic ancient sound
with some Incantation vibes.
This demo can be
Appreciated by a lot of extreme metal fans , and maybe this demo is key of Unholy Redeemer and it’s not important if this record has a low
budget production, because the modern metal sucks with their advanced
technology in studio with their substandard work.
Conjuration Overture, Vanity Is Dawning is a four-song EP as an for the ambitious upcoming
album
The four new
compositions feature a fresh and engaging mix of styles that covers just about
every extreme variety of metal. Of course, Infected
Chaos can certainly be categorized primarily as death metal, with Chris Fischer's throaty screams in
particular anchoring that categorization. The guitar work also definitely
breathes an air of leaden death, with the addition of a pinch of black metal
fury and a fairly dark atmosphere which would also suit black metal colleagues
ComeEventide, Come Evenfall, I immediately
noticed that the catchiness of the guitar work is also reflected in the meter
of the vocals. Often criminally overlooked by death metal, it's precisely the
rhythm of screams and a growl that ensures the vocal passages stick in your
ear. Associated with a very varied musical base, this makes the number a real
hit in the tension between Death, Black and Melodic Death Metal. Vanity Is Dawning (track to pay
attention), has a much darker tone, only the slightly too gargled growls stand
in the way of the title marking the second highlight of the EP. Tehom (track to pay attention), on the
other hand, does not reach the compositional class of his two predecessors, but
crosses the landscapes as a rather boring death metal piece before People Of Ash finally ends the short
piece on a very positive note, the track has many strong ideas to offer and
takes up the symphonic-epic style of Vanity
Is Dawning
one could congratulate Infected Chaos for a
successful undertaking, because Conjuration
Overture, Vanity Is Dawning is, despite two weaker tracks and minimal deductions
in the B rating, overall an EP that already makes you want to listen to the
Austrian . The band's next album, a German co-production, which hopefully won't
take too long to arrive
And for now you can directly add Conjuration Overture, Vanity Is
Dawning to your collection.
Ten years after their debut (Aequinoctium first demo, in 2015 and a live EP in 2022), Mòr
delivers its first album, Hear the Hour Nearing! via Les Acteurs De L’Ombre.
With Mòr,
on The Vanishing of Matter we
immediately get to the heart of the matter. It's big, stifling black metal. Its
riff goes deep into your head before the break drives the point home with this
raw voice and maybe this is the sing to pay attention of this album
riffs coming from the cold on Eden. Paradise takes hellish turns here. The music is raw and heavy,
and after this the album becomes more atmospheric….you will encounter some little boring parts
The first instrumental Third Path lays the foundations where the bass has fun. A moment of
respite. A waiting period where the listener remains waiting for what will
happen next. Repetitive to the point of alienation as on the second
instrumental Cave of Shadows and its
hypnotic arpeggios.
The
Letter of Loss is quite binary
and obsessive at the beginning: it blasts, it belches before they give us a
very calm, not very boring atmospheric track so that we can regain our senses
before the dizziness comes to take us back into this frantic race.
Sulfur has bursts of riffs making us think of the early
hours of Immortal… a forced, Spartan march not afraid to rehash the same
nauseating riff.
Same thing with Sutcivni
Los, the good thing about Mòr is
that it’s difficult to pigeonhole them into black metal. Their music is subject
to many influences: it’s modern, daring with a lot of risk-taking ranging from
old school black metal……
the aggressive The Apprentice and his very “core”
voice. No respite, the sound is anchored in old school but the excruciating
voice opens towards more modernity with more classic breaks.
in any case I think
you can add Hear The Hour Nearing! to your collection
1.Hello, how are you!
how many packs of beer you destroy today!! At first congratulation on the
release of your new demo Catastrophic
introduction of your band to a world uninitiated with your work? And how does
it feel to have your music out there for the world to hear?
It feels great having such a
sound that's new but still having ties to the old scene of black metal
2. What can you tell
us about your line up are you a one-manband? …Since how long are you involved
into metalI don’t find much info about this? And why you’re not in metal
archives! , Ifound anything about Plagued
Ritual you’re really underground!
We have an amazing line up, we all have a very strong chokehold on what
we do. Currently we just need a permanent guitariste.
3. What do you think
about the events that took place in Norway by many bands of the first wave of
true black metal, can you tell us about??
I like to think we're pretty self-aware, a lot of the dudes from that
scene are obviously not the coolest people, even if some of their music is good
I like to hold accountability
4. What do you think
of the worldwide black metal and extreme scene today?
worldwide I'd say the
scene is very unique. There's a scene for basically anyone including those
cringe asshats from the nsbm scene
5. "Plagued
Ritual" why this name? Can you tell us more about the meaning?
we thought of this
name of how feral and ritualistic our sound
is, I will admit though, our bassist phantasma came up with the name.
6. How do you write
your music? Is there a set guideline or do you write what you feel as you go
along?
We have deadlines for
when we need specific pieces of the music, as the vocalist I usually just write
till I get the instrumental and then I just do my thing. Our bassist and
drummer though do a lot of the actual music writing
7-what can you tell
us about the songs that are available on your demo Catastrophicit’s smellssick and underground old school sound and
there is big inspiration of the true of the first wave of black metal
the song itself is just very raw, cold, and bestial. It was also a pain
for me to record bc of equipment not doing well, so in a way it was just a catastrophic
recording session for me
8.Did you find a
label how you record your music? and which label would fit your music?
we’re not currently
with a label, were very new as a band. We do hope to find one though that will
have our best interest.
9.Can you explain the
title and cover image of demo Catastrophic?
So, I wanted to have
a photo of something just weird tph, I found an article of a tree that looks
like it had a body, there’s a whole story about a witch being buried under the
tree and now she's the roots of tree, but I thought the image was cool so I
used it
10.If you compare the
U.S and the European black metal what can you tell us?
Comparing the two scenes is awkward. Not a lot of people in the states
like black metal enough to actually be in a band so there's just a ton of 1man
projects, before I was the vocalist for Plagued
Ritual I had a 1 man project called Sleep Eternal. In Europe I see a lot
more bands, for some reason parts of Europe is a little behind musically so
there's some places where metal as a whole just thrives
11.how is the metal
scene and metal community in Kentucky?
Non-existent haha, I believe the closest to black metal that Kentucky has seen was the album
Kentucky from the band Panopticon. Love that album but I think that's it haha.
12.Do you already
have things in the plans after the single ...? new album? Any new Ep's or Split with any band in the
horizon?
We want to release a demo asap. We're working on it and hoping to
release it during the summer
13.What is your
opinion about this kind of black metal antihuman Black Metal, NS Black Metal
and Christian Black Metal?
I think it's cool that there's a subgenre of black metal for
everyone but with that I don't like how much Nazi posers are in these scenes
collectively
14.Black metal bands
frequently use Satanic imagery as a metaphor for individualism and personal
freedom whatdo you think about the Satanic imagery?
Its art, it's
subjective. You don't have to like it, it's whatever
15.Thank you a lot
for sharing your time with No Mercy Zine,
do you have any particular messages for particular people or any closing notes,
last words are yours?
Check us out and let us know if y'all like our music
After their EP, Solitude, unveiled to the world in 2022
under the Wormholedeath banner, Nastergal continues their journey with
their debut full-length album. A dark and enigmatic opus, The Untold War emerges as an
ode to existential turmoil, drawing inspiration from the profound wisdom
encapsulated within Friedrich
Nietzsche’s seminal work, Thus Spoke
Zarathustra.
Playing an Infernal
black metal brutalized by an evil death metal followed by rapid riffage, vocals
which involves frost-bitten old-school black metal vocals, drums, which delves
into the vast world of rapid and intense brutal drum work and blast beats drums
are monster kill with tempo and speed changes at the right time
This international black metal band or black/death this is
how I describe their style black/death it’s not really true black metal especially
compared to their album cover by the way it’s not fit with The Untold War,they should
have put some evil/satan things with an apocalyptic landscape destroyed and
devastateby an endless infernal warwho revealsconflicts of a world.
Because at first, I underestimated The
Untold War by this fucking cover fortunately
their content can have a great success and it is a very promising start ,add The Untold War directly without thinking to your collection.
Corpus Diavolis, I’m surprised by this frenchy black metal band globally
their album is perfect or almost perfect, evil black metal style with corpse
paint nails and bloody ritualistic things in( traditional black metal )
Elixiria Ekstasis be composed of nine tracks of intense black metal sometimes
it’s becomes to death metal or black/death metal but the result is strong and solid
blackmetal,Elixiria Ekstasisis
hosted by the French label Les Acteurs
de l'Ombre Productions.
Thematically the
album is steeped in occultism, sexuality and Satanism with ritualistic black
metal, Elixiria Ekstasis is intended
to be a hymn to women and their aura you can see that concept in black metal
universe
the band does come up
with some solid individual riffs and choral sections , there are also some
riffing undercurrents more redolent of classic death metal which snake their
way into the darkest apocryphal and maybe ambient atmosphere, production is
clean and powerful cutting (edge technology), serpentine riffs so important, to
the louder, broader doomed chord patterns that they'll often transcend into.
The rhythm guitars , always layering in some atmospheric, open ringing notes or
chords to the slower segments, and then picking up volatility and wicked
attitude when the speed increases. The other strength is the vox, which are
mixed between dependable rasps, growls and grimy narrative passages, and then
these great, deep male choir bits which work wonderfully when the percussion
gets a little more thunderous and tribaladding to this tempo are changes at the
right time ,Elixiria Ekstasis takes
you straight back to the ’90s. With blood-laced tremolos, meaty riffs straight
from hell, incessant ferocious blast beats when sometimes it turn to brutal
black metal .
in any case I think you can add Elixiria Ekstasis to your collection.
