Korsan Algerian metal band, their style integrates different influences of modern metal, Groove, Melodic, Thrash but also
traditional heavy metal (heavy metal not at all, nothing of that in the
contents) going through the stoner !!!!!! no no it does not go through the
stoner. (According to their biography but especially their style integrates modern U.S metal passing through the metalcore
with an addition of djent not really , but melodic and groovy)
Nazih, drummer and co-founder of the RiverGate
(a progressive metal band that broke even though it produced good sound and
nice music), the latter had decided to launch this project that had always been
germinating in his mind, by his nome stealing personal compositions, this
project wanted to express his desire to integrate pure power and hard to the
melodicity of metal. !!
This time, he is at
the controls of the guitar, and with the arrival of the versatile! Ramzy !!!, founder of Jugulator
!!!!! this project was able to take on a more concrete dimension.
Rahim, former childhood friend of Nazih
and talented bassist joined the band and in the company of Nazim (ex String Horror
incidentally I had a glimpse of the key of String
Horror it's remarkable) on the drums, a duo that gave quality to the groovy
aspect of the band's compositions.
Korsan was able to focus on the production of its first Maxi in collaboration
with the "Henosis" Studios
in the Paris region, for a release scheduled for March 2018, as well as the
first tests on the full album planned for 2019.

The Despot starts with the title Coward so we have a metal that is far from traditional or usual
because it shells it means everything that’s modern and contemporary from the
beginning and too melodic at the end of the title, yes it's a nice groove sound
played well but will just if you love djent and metalcore I do not like much for
me it's like a hot beer!!, but I think it's a good job probably many other
people will have liked, Incorrupted is the second title at first it seems thrash
metal when you listen guitar and drums sound but what a second after the playing
completely changes to groovy , a fucking mix between metalcore / melody and
metal groove , tempo the change too abrupt, Enemy it is the third title this title contains passages which can
remind us of the name known as Lamb of God, Disturbed , Trivium or maybe Killswitch Engage, I'm not sure but I think it's not out of this style, and we end
up with The burden a mix of modern
styles metalcore moment, thrashing
moment, bare metal / metal alternative and a good groovy dose, clear and soft
vocals with a dose of growl and screaming (we will really more on the ability
found by the frontman to shout) often tempo that changes speed after slow and
soft rhythmic and often that accelerates suddenly finally we have a successful
mix and pleasant, The Despot is a real
dynamic surprise from an unknown band, In any case , you should have The
Despot in your collection,If you want because you can like or dislike …………
