Cryptopsy.
Starting as brutal tech-death, they took the world with 1994s Blasphemy Made Flesh and 1996s iconic None So Vile. (their two masterpiece)
. In the past they were
known as one of the best Technical Death Metal acts with terrific and bestial
vocals from legends like Lord Worm
and drumming precision of Flo Mounier, It
was their The golden era.
The bands new album, As Gomorrah Burns, is out September
2023 with perfect sound the sound quality iscutting edge technology, the album
coveralmost the same of Whisper
Supremacy in summary it's the same with some modification
In any case since 2008
or beforeeverything changed and the major wrong thing is the new vocalist Matt McGachyat all he fit more Metalcore
based scream (he is an asshole if you compare with Lord Worm) Matt McGachy need
help and need some Death Metal lessons
aside from that in As Gomorrah Burns the new direction of Cryptopsy. it's no moreTechnical Brutal
Death everyone lost faith and interest !!and I agree, with the leaving of Lord Worm, Cryptopsy's glory and triumph
also left too !
Some people say,
Crytopsy has returned with another album just to prove they are still one of
the best. And they accomplish that.!!!!!!!!but that's not the case
The few poly-rhythmic
slowdowns are certainly more modern, we consider that deathcore ,core and djent
things are very present. and the sound of the eight strings is now so much a
part of Cryptopsy's arsenal like most contemporary metal bands that it just shows
the band's or labels desire to live with the times besides I don't even
recognize the drumming by Flo Mounier.
I think , you should
not add this album to your collection
.and surely the years of Cryptopsy with Lord
Worm was great .
