Encelado - Pillars of Creation (2025)

 Label: Regenerate Records

Track listing:

1. Dark Nebulas

2. Gravety

3. Fragments Of Fear

4. Pillars Of Creation

This is the debut release of Encelado with the EP Pillars of Creation which is very brief just four songs over 14:00 min, this Italian duo is formed in 2024 with sound that dig into the depths of the cosmos and the mind, death in any case the basic style is death metal ,……adding some dose of  technical brutality with an album cover that is very reminiscent of modern technical death metal but what is weird the cover art looks similar to Nightbearer's new album (Defiance), their music can back to your head a mix of great names maybe like Cannibal Corpse , Aborted side brutal death and The Faceless for the technical cosmic death side but Encelado is not really technical enough and the artwork album cover give us the futuristic cosmic themes  preview , so if I begin to talk about the performances of the band at first take notice the Insane vocals who  adds to the unsettling, otherworldly atmosphere , vocals are  characterized by deep, guttural growls that are often delivered in a unique style the technical guitar and bass work from Damien, explosive drumming from two session drummer, and subtle, atmospheric synthesizers to evoke a space theme rightly performed.

The EP a strong debut with recording quality that reaches the cutting edge of technology

Pillars of Creation is an interesting and promising release from this Italian duo

In any case, everybody guesses a full-length album cannot be too far off, in the meantime you can add Pillars of Creation to your collection.

Path of Redemption - Echoes from the Depths (2025)

Label: Northern Shadow

Track Listing

1.Profane Darkness

2.Path of Redemption

3.Where Broken Spirits Lie

4.Horizon

Path of Redemption from Spain is another band I wasn't familiar with before this review. And if you approach music completely ignorantly, no. I also have a reason to do more research. Path of Redemption, launched in 2024 by three veterans of the underground metal scene, combines Map (OUIJA) on guitar and vocals, Fosc (LAFOSCA) on drums, synths, and backing vocals, and Shogoth (ESTERTOR, OUIJA, ERED) on bass and guitar. Together, they've created a dark and intense EP—a storm of sound and shadow that will sweep inexorably over you. Musically, the band engages in a powerful and melodic blend of old-school black and death metal captivating and imbued with a dark grace. Now we take a look at their latest release: the four-track debut EP "Echoes From The Depths" was released in July 2025 via Northern Shadow Canadian record, brevity of this album just five songs but over 18:38 min, First of these four tracks intro who takes the auditor to gloomy dark ambient universe but don't allow me to say so much because it’s just a short debut EP.

"Echoes From The Depth" shows a preview of Path Of Redemption   a blend of melodic old-school black metal and death metal that delivers both intensity and atmosphere to pay attention "Profane Darkness" and "Where Broken Spirits Lie" but maybe the band try to prove that they have mastered the art of dark and powerful music.

In any case, everybody guesses a full-length album cannot be too far off.

wait for their first album because if this one can be great, you can just imagine their debut full length.
