Path of Redemption from Spain is another band I wasn't familiar with before this review.
And if you approach music completely ignorantly, no. I also have a reason to do
more research. Path of Redemption,
launched in 2024 by three veterans of the underground metal scene, combines Map
(OUIJA) on guitar and vocals, Fosc (LAFOSCA) on drums, synths, and backing vocals, and Shogoth (ESTERTOR, OUIJA, ERED) on bass
and guitar. Together, they've created a dark and intense EP—a storm of sound
and shadow that will sweep inexorably over you. Musically, the band engages in
a powerful and melodic blend of old-school black and death metal captivating
and imbued with a dark grace. Now we take a look at their latest release: the
four-track debut EP "Echoes From
The Depths" was released in July 2025 via Northern Shadow Canadian record, brevity of this album just five
songs but over 18:38 min, First of these four tracks intro who takes the auditor to gloomy dark
ambient universe but don't allow me to say so much because it’s just a short debut EP.
"Echoes From The Depth"
shows a preview of Path Of Redemption a blend of melodic old-school black metal
and death metal that delivers both intensity and atmosphere to pay attention "Profane Darkness" and "Where Broken Spirits Lie" but
maybe the band try to prove that they have mastered the art of dark and
powerful music.
In any case, everybody guesses a full-length album cannot be too far
off.
wait for their first album because if this one can be great, you can
just imagine their debut full length.
